After months of isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to find a way to interact and connect with the people in my neighborhood without putting myself and others at risk. The idea for this installation came from this desire for interaction and also the desire to inspire joy during a very difficult time for many people. I handmade a series of cootie catchers for people to take with them and play with. Take One. Have A Laugh. is the first in a series of installations where viewers are invited to take part of the installation with them after they have interacted with it.
